... Not diminishing the awesome design of black
and white paraded in the zebras. God delights in what He
has made.
And yet as we enjoy the beauty of this
story of God's first offer of Grace and promise, we do
not want to overlook its deeper message. For more important
than the occupants of an Ark, are the occupants of the
heart of our Creator ... A place reserved for mankind
alone.
The scriptures teach us that we are fearfully
and wonderfully made...intimately known ...greatly desired...our affection
longed for. The story of Noah's Ark begins with a picture
of God looking for a response to His love...only to find mankind's
interest and affection elsewhere.(Genesis6:5,6)
Luke and Matthew tell us that in the
last days when the Son of Man returns, it will be as in the days
of Noah, mankind will be faced with the same choices as in the
days of Noah ... a choice of how we will walk before God.
God will be looking for our response.
It is the Artist's hope to display through
this painting a bit of His glory ....and to inspire through its
message our hearts more deeply toward eternal purposes.
May we seek the lord while He may be
found, and call upon Him while He is near. (Isa 55:6-9)
For in His presense is fullness
of joy, and in His right hand are pleasures forevermore. |
