Intoduction to Our Artwork |
You will find as you observe
our drawings and paintings different themes varying from grace
to joy... God's sovereignty... the presence of God... sacrificial
love... and so on. Many pieces contain scriptures which
are placed in areas not readily noticable, and some objects have
special meaning and symbolic placement. Most prints come with
a writing explaining these details and share my personal thoughts
of faith.

"Therefore if the Son sets you free.... you
shall be free indeed." (John 8:36) |
In
the old testament God called His people to a celebration known
as the "Year of Jubilee".
In the fiftieth year every slave was freed, all debts
cancelled, property was returned to it's original owner, and
the land was given a rest. God spoke through Moses saying, "It
shall be a time of Jubilation".
What
a wonderfull word. A great word to express the joy which comes
from being a recipient of the generous love and grace of God.
In the sacrifical work of the cross
of Jesus Christ... our slavery to sin has been ended, our debts
have been cancelled, we become restored to our original owner
as adopted children of God... and we can enter the rest of God
from our own works... reason for Jubilation!!!!
It is He alone that can set us free. John 8:32 Truly,
Jesus is our Jubilee... Not for a season but
for eternity.
Let the dancers
express their joy in movements of worship...
And may the dance steps within the heart of
the body of Christ... having never been fully
expressed... find their way unto Him.

"Thy thoughts toward
us, there is none to compare with Thee." Psalm 40:5
"Behold, I have loved you with an everlasting Love."
Jeremiah 31:3
Out of the loving heart of God a place has
been prepared for us. A place which will far exceed our highest
expectations and dreams and fulfill our deepest longings. A place
of beauty and rest, joy and freedom, and eternal purpose. A place
we will know is home . . . . for "The Father and Jesus"
will be there waiting for us.
May this painting offer a joyous glimpse of
the glorious horizon ahead, for those who love Christ, . . .
a present reality for many of our loved ones. Jesus leaves us
His promises, "Let not your hearts be troubled, trust in
God, trust also in Me. For in My Fathers house are many mansions.
If it were not so I would have told you so. I go to prepare a
place for you." John 14:1-3 . . . . "I am the way the
truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father, except by Me."
John 14:6-7
"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though
our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed
day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for
us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while
we look not at the things which are see; for the things that
are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are
eternal." 2 Corinthians 14:16-18

Of all the stories in the bible, none reveals
God's value of all that He has designed quite like the story
of Noah's Ark.
... From creepy and crawling things,
to the birds of the air with their many colors ... Hippos and
hyenas...leopards and giraffes in their glorious patterns |

... Not diminishing the awesome design of black
and white paraded in the zebras. God delights in what He
has made.
And yet as we enjoy the beauty of this
story of God's first offer of Grace and promise, we do
not want to overlook its deeper message. For more important
than the occupants of an Ark, are the occupants of the
heart of our Creator ... A place reserved for mankind
alone.
The scriptures teach us that we are fearfully
and wonderfully made...intimately known ...greatly desired...our affection
longed for. The story of Noah's Ark begins with a picture
of God looking for a response to His love...only to find mankind's
interest and affection elsewhere.(Genesis6:5,6)
Luke and Matthew tell us that in the
last days when the Son of Man returns, it will be as in the days
of Noah, mankind will be faced with the same choices as in the
days of Noah ... a choice of how we will walk before God.
God will be looking for our response.
It is the Artist's hope to display through
this painting a bit of His glory ....and to inspire through its
message our hearts more deeply toward eternal purposes.
May we seek the lord while He may be
found, and call upon Him while He is near. (Isa 55:6-9)
For in His presense is fullness
of joy, and in His right hand are pleasures forevermore. |
